GM Robert Blackstone is a 9th Dan black belt under GM Wayne Carman of the International T.C.B. Karate & Martial Arts Association. Robert has over 45 years of experience in many disciplines of martial arts.  He started training under GM Kang Rhee October 12, 1978 with the PaSaRyu Karate, Kung Fu, and Tae Kwon Do Association. He earned his 5th Dan under GM Kang Rhee December 28, 1986.  He earned his 9th Dan under GM Wayne Carman November 15, 2015. Robert founded the Shiloh Martial Arts Association In 1992. Some of his distinguished awards and accomplishments are:

  • 2018 United States Martial Arts Hall of Fame Inductee – Innovator of the Year  – for the development of the unique instructional video subscription service of blackstone-ma.com
  • 2016 United States Martial Arts Hall of Fame Inductee -Distinguished Grandmaster
  • AAU Presidential Sports Award Winner in Tae Kwon Do
  • Recipient of the elite “Disciple of Discipline” award under GM Kang Rhee once awarded to Elvis Presley
  • Selected by GM Kang Rhee as an original member of the Pasaryu Moo Society
  • Featured in the Pasaryu Kata video series produced by GM Kang Rhee
  • Graduated Memphis State University (University of Memphis) with a BBA in Finance from The Fogelman College of Business & Economics
