Combat

Combat drills are paired drills to develop the martial artist in the area of response to an opponents attack angles, cadence, and aggression. These skill sets are best developed in layers to ensure understanding.

  • Layer1 – One Steps are to teach the static art of distance judgment in combat.
  • Layer 2 – Three and Five Steps drills are to teach the dynamic art of cadence adjustment and end positioning during conflict.
  • Layer 3 – Modified One Steps are to teach the dynamic art of threat response and elimination.
  • Layer 4 – Modified Three and Five Steps are to teach the dynamic art of threat response and preemptive elimination.
